Pastoral Assistant: Al
Schroeder
ALBERT H. SCHROEDER, Pastoral
Assistant, 1995 to the present
My
wife Flo and I together have seven
children and seven grandchildren. We
enjoy walking, reading, listening to
music, traveling and the arts. I
have served churches in Johnstown &
Wellington CO, suburban Saint Louis
MO, West Memphis AR (new start),
Jerseyville IL (mission), also
Carrollton &
White
Hall IL. I did pastoral care at a
treatment center for alcoholics
1971-78. I am a Graduate of
Concordia Seminary, Saint Louis MO
1958, later did graduate studies in
Old Testament; also MA in adult
community leadership from Regis U.
Pastor
Al’s ministry:
I am
involved at Immanuel as Pastoral
Assistant, work with Human Care,
Discipleship, Older Adults
ministries, Worship Planning Team
and direct the Chancel Choir.
What
excites Pastor Al about his ministry
at Immanuel:
What
excites me about ministry at
Immanuel is the many challenges, the
amazing variety and number of gifted
people, the fine vision for parish
ministry and the health of the
congregation. I have believed that
God provides the people, the faith
and the gifts that are needed to do
what God wills for this place
and
time.
Director of Worship & Music Ministries:
Kathy Schlecht
Kathy SCHLECHT, Director of Worship
& Music Ministries, 1989 - to the
present
I’m
incredibly blessed by a loving,
supportive husband and four healthy,
vibrant children. We love spending
time together as a family. I enjoy
capturing our memories together by
getting our pictures and stories
into albums. I also enjoy staying
physically active – running, playing
kickball and dodgeball with the kids
and even getting talked into rock
climbing, in spite of my acrophobia!
Kathy’s ministry:
I feel
extremely blessed to have the
opportunity to use the gifts God has
given me in the area of music.
Music brings such joy to life!
Music combined with God’s Word
brings life itself! The vision for
my music ministry at Immanuel is to
use the gifts of God’s people in
this community of faith - to assist
those of all ages in this “Family
Place” to find, develop and enjoy
God’s gift of music.
What
excites Kathy about her ministry at
Immanuel:
Twenty-six young children all
ringing handbells together (at the
same time!) excites me. Sixteen
young adults consistently taking
time from their very busy middle
school and high school schedules to
ring handbells together excites me.
Children and youth helping lead us
in worship excites me. And having
nearly 100 musicians help lead a
worship service excites me. And
there’s so much more!! I am
continually awed at the gifts of
God’s people in this place, and the
willingness to use those gifts in
the building of his kingdom.
Director of Youth Ministries: Katie
Brock
Katie Brock,
Director of Youth Ministries, 2006 - to the
present
I love
my family, all of whom live in
Washington State. While I may not be
close to them geographically, they
mean the world to me. I grew up with
my parents and a dog across the
street from my grandparents. I have
many special memories of trips with
my parents and grandparents together
to the Washington coast and the
Montana mountains. I love nature and
hiking. I am excited to be so close
to Rocky Mountain National Park and
I look forward to exploring it.
Katie’s ministry:
I am
the Director of Youth Ministry. I am
excited to develop youth ministry at
Immanuel! It is my responsibility to
ensure that the youth are taught the
Christian faith, nurtured by caring
adults and encouraged to boldly live
for Christ. I help this generation
guide the next into Christian
maturity.
What
excites Katie about her ministry at
Immanuel:
There
is so much potential working with
youth. They are capable of
accomplishing great things because
they are willing to try anything.
Also, adolescence is a critical life
period. The decisions and learning
that happen during this time affects
the rest of a person’s life! It is a
great responsibility and honor to
work with youth and their families
here at Immanuel.
Communications
Assistant: Kerry
Pucket

My
husband Scott and I have been
happily married for 10 years. We
have a 4 year old daughter, Katie
and a puppy, “Charlotte” who is half
Golden Retriever and half Australian
Sheppard. Scott and I both grew up
in Nebraska, and yes we are
Cornhusker fans. I have lived in the
Loveland area for the past 18 years
and Scott joined me here 12 years
ago. We enjoy the mountains,
swimming, vacations, movies, playing
and laughing.
Kerrie’s ministry:
My
position at Immanuel has evolved
quite a bit in the last 3 ½ years. I
started out as a receptionist, doing
general duties. I am now the
communications assistant to the
executive staff and the newsletter
editor of the Epistle. I
enjoy creating posters, brochures,
and am generally known for “making
things look pretty”.
What
excites Kerrie about Immanuel:
My
daughter Katie attends ILS and I
love seeing her learn so many
wonderful, Godly, lessons from
people who genuinely care about her.
Being a part of the Immanuel church
staff I strive to - and enjoy
-showing God’s love to those who may
not know it; through my smile, kind
words, and helpfulness. I believe
that each of us has the opportunity
every day to make a
difference in people’s lives and
that excites me!
School Principal:
Mark L'Heureux

Mark L’Heureux
was born in Hastings, Nebraska.
Following graduation from high

University in Seward, NE where he
received a Bachelor of Science in
Education degree in 1997. He

in Elementary Education
Administration in 2000 from the same

Central Lutheran School in Newhall,
Iowa, A Preschool – 8th

counselor. They have three
children: Ellie, in 2nd grade;
Noah, in Kindergarten and Jack, who
is 2 years old. The L’Heureux
family plan to move to this area in
mid-June and Mr. L’Heureux is
scheduled to start his service at
Immanuel on July 1.
School Administrative Assistant:
Lynne Steckelberg

I
joined Immanuel Lutheran School in
June 2006. I grew up in Western
Iowa and went to college in Eastern
Iowa. In 2002, I moved to Colorado
and worked in the construction
industry for the last 4 years.
Currently, I am taking classes
towards my Masters in Curriculum and
Instruction from CCU. Any spare
time is spent reading, dancing or
hiking.
Lynne’s ministry:
I am administrative assistant to the
principal at Immanuel Lutheran
School, an extremely varied
position. It includes everything
from record-keeping and scheduling
to applying band-aids and developing
advertising. The variety keeps me
on my toes!
What excites Lynne about her
ministry at Immanuel:
It is truly a blessing to be working
in a Christian atmosphere. It is a
huge benefit to consistently receive
encouragement professionally and
personally from such caring
Christian co-workers and families.
