So, what is a Spiritual Gift? Do I have any?

A Spiritual Gift is a special ability given by the Holy Spirit to every believer at their conversion to be used to minister to others and to build up the Body of Christ. Spiritual Gifts are the tools used for building the church, doing the work of the ministry and edifying Christ.

God gave us these gifts and he wants us to use them. Regarding Spiritual Gifts, Ephesians 4:12 (NIV) says, “…to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up…”

Your greatest joy comes when you are serving where you are passionate while using your God-given gifts. Your gifts are a present from God.  Using your gifts helps you to serve Christ by allowing Him to work through you in order to minister to others. It’s one of the best ways to experience God-given fulfillment!
