Who we are…
Immanuel Lutheran
School provides a quality Christian
education to children in preschool
through 8th grade. We opened
in 1977 with just a preschool and over
the years added staff and facilities to
accommodate the 300 students we have
today.
Approximately 75%
of our students come from 43 area
congregations or have no church
affiliation. Immanuel means ‘God with
us’ and as a Christian school we are
able to share the love and grace of
Christ daily in the classroom and in our
relationships with others.
Why a new
school?
Our current
location at 1101 Hilltop Drive (2 blocks
south and 1 block west of Taft and
Highway 34) was built in 6 phases over
the past 50 years. Modular buildings
have been necessary to accommodate all
our students. To better serve them we
need more space for classrooms and
athletic fields, a modern and efficient
floor plan and infrastructure, and
easier access.
Ten years ago we
purchased 25 acres on north Highway 287
in Loveland to anticipate our
relocation. This new location will
provide excellent visibility to the
community for our school and programs.
The time to begin construction is now.
After years of waiting, our Hilltop
Drive property is sold to the Thompson
R2-J School District for a new Ferguson
High School. We need to move by June
5, 2008.
Details of the
project…
Construction began
in March of 2007 for
a 71,000 sq. ft. facility. It will
have:
• A gymnasium
with a built-in stage area *
• 2 classrooms
per grade *
• Extra space for
early childhood/daycare
• A large
commercial kitchen
• Music, science
and computer rooms
• An elevator to
the upper level
